مؤسسة كريدي أجريكول مصر للتنمية وشنايدر إلكتريك يختتمان بنجاح المرحلة الثانية من مشروعات التنمية المستدامة بمحافظة المنوفية

أعلنت كل من مؤسسة كريدي أجريكول مصر للتنمية وشركة شنايدر إلكتريك عن إتمام المرحلة الثانية من أحدث مشروعات التنمية المستدامة بعزبة عطية في قرية تتا بمحافظة المنوفية، حيث تستهدف تلك الشراكة تطوير قطاعات المياه، والغذاء، والطاقة”Water, Energy, Food Nexus” في القرى المصرية، من خلال إقامة مضخة للري والتي تعمل بالطاقة الشمسية، بالإضافة إلى العمل على تبطين ترعة بطول 1.5 كيلومتر داخل قرية تتا.

تقع قرية تتا في قلب الدلتا، ويعتبر معظم سكانها من المزارعين، حيث يبلغ عددهم حوالي 20 ألف نسمة، وتعتمد هذه القرية علي الزراعة كالنشاط الاقتصادي الأساسي لها، خاصة المحاصيل الاستراتيجية مثل الذرة والقمح والبرسيم والخضراوات المتنوعة، وتعتمد الأراضي الزراعية في تلك المنطقة على القنوات كمصدر للري عن طريق توصيل المياه من نهر النيل.

وتعليقا على إتمام المرحلة الثانية من المشروع، صرح سيباستيان رييز، رئيس شنايدر إلكتريك لمنطقة شمال شرق أفريقيا والمشرق العربي، قائلا: “نحن سعداء بإفتتاح مشروع التنمية المستدامة الجديد بمحافظة المنوفية، وذلك بعد نجاح المشروعات التي تم إقامتها بقريتى شبرا قبالة وميت القصرى والتي احتفلنا بإطلاقها منذ بضعة أشهر. إن إطلاق مثل هذه المشروعات يؤكد دعمنا الدائم والمستمر لتعزيز وتطبيق معايير الاستدامة والتي تعد جزء أساسي من قيم وعمليات الشركة، بهدف خلق تأثير إيجابي على المجتمعات المحلية وتعظيم الاستفادة من الموارد المتاحة، والمساهمة في تحقيق تقدم للوصول إلى عالم ذو مناخ إيجابي. ويسعدنا الاحتفال بإطلاق هذا المشروع والذي يعد محطة جديدة في سلسلة الشراكة الناجحة مع مؤسسة كريدي أجريكول مصر للتنمية، حيث نسعى لتحقيق الاستفادة لعدد أكبر من المواطنين في جميع أنحاء مصر.”

• تأتي تلك المبادرة استمرارًا للجهود المشتركة من الطرفين بهدف تحسين المناطق الريفية في المنوفية

ويهدف المشروع الذي تم تنفيذه في قرية تتا إلى خلق قيمة للمجتمع المحلي، وتعزيز كفاءة الطاقة، وتحسين استغلال الموارد، وخفض الانبعاثات الكربونية، ومن المتوقع أن يستفيد من هذا المشروع حوالي 20,000 فرد، وزيادة دخل حوالي 1,200 مزارع و200 عائلة، وتسهيل طرق الري لحوالي 120-200 فدان.

ومن جانبه قال جون بيير ترينيل- رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة كريدي أجريكول مصر للتنمية والعضو المنتدب لبنك كريدي أجريكول مصر: “يسعدنا إطلاق المرحلة الثانية من مشروعات التنمية المستدامة في قريه تتا بمحافظة المنوفية، وذلك بعد بضعة أشهر من إطلاق المرحلة الأولى في قريتي ميت القصري وشبرا قبالة بنفس المحافظة ، حيث يساعد استخدام التكنولوجيا النظيفة في قرية تتا على تحقيق تأثير إيجابي على البيئة وضمان استخدام أفضل وأكثر كفاءة للموارد المائية لري الأراضي الزراعية.”

وأضاف: “ونحن نعتز بالتعاون مع شركة شنايدر إلكتريك للمساهمه فى دعم المجتمعات المحلية، حيث نسعى إلى مواصلة تقديم التمويل اللازم لمشروعات التنمية المستدامة، والتي من شأنها بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة لتعزيز حياة المواطنين”.

ومن خلال توفير 65 ميجاوات/ساعة من الطاقة النظيفة سنويًا، واستبدال مضخات الديزل بنظام يعمل بالطاقة الشمسية بقوة 30 كيلووات، سيتمكن المزارعون من تشغيل مضخات المياه بتكلفة منخفضة، مما يؤدي إلى تقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية بمقدار 32.5 طن، وتوفير حتى 10,000 لتر من الديزل سنويًا، بالإضافة إلى أن المشروع يضمن الوصول للمياه بنسبة 80%، وضخ أكثر من 890,000 متر مكعب من المياه سنويًا.

• يأتي إتمام هذا المشروع بعد الإعلان عن افتتاح مشروعات التنمية المستدامة بقريتي شبرا قبالة وميت القصري بمحافظة المنوفية في بداية هذا العام

ولتحقيق الاستفادة القصوى من مضخات الري التي تعمل بالطاقة الشمسية، تم تبطين الترعة بطول 1.5 كيلومتر للحد من فقدان المياه والتبخر أثناء النقل من المضخة إلى الأراضي الزراعية، وتم تحسين وصول المياه بنسبة 80%، مما يقلل من وقت وصول المياه من المضخة إلى الأرض من 30 دقيقة وحتى 5 دقائق فقط. ونتيجة لذلك، يمكن ري 10 أفدنة بدلاً من 3 أفدنة لكل دورة ري.

يعد مشروع التنمية المستدامة المنفذ في قرية تتا بمحافظة المنوفية استمرارًا للتعاون المشترك بين مؤسسة كريدي أجريكول مصر للتنمية وشركة شنايدر إلكتريك، حيث شهدت هذه الشراكة افتتاح مبادرات مشابهة في قرىتي شبرا قبالة وميت القصري لتنفيذ مجموعة من مشروعات البنية التحتية المستدامة، والتي تشمل صوب زراعية، وأحواض سمكية، وحضانات للدواجن، ومضخات للري، ووحدة تدوير مخلفات زراعية تعمل جميعها بالطاقة الشمسية، وذلك في إطار حرص الطرفين على تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة تماشيًا مع رؤية مصر2030 لتحقيق الاستدامة البيئية وتحسين جودة المعيشة للمواطنين المصريين.

Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development and Schneider Electric Successfully Concluded the Second Phase of the Community Development Projects in Menoufia Governorate

• The second phase included the implementation of a solar-powered irrigation pump and canal lining in Ezbet Ateya, located in Tita village
• This initiative represents a continuation of collaborative endeavors between both entities aimed at enhancing rural areas within Menoufia
• Completion of this project follows the inauguration of similar developmental projects in Shubra Qubala and Mit El Qasri villages in Menoufia, earlier this year
Cairo, Egypt, 13 May 2024: Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development and Schneider Electric have announced the successful completion of the second phase of their latest joint community development projects in Menoufia governorate in Ezbet Ateya, Tita village.

Demonstrating both parties’ commitment to developing the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus across Egyptian villages, a solar-powered irrigation pump was installed in addition to the canal lining of 1.5 km in Tita village.

Situated at the heart of the Nile Delta and predominantly populated by farmers, Tita village relies heavily on farming and agriculture as its primary economic activity.

With a population of approximately 20,000 residents, the village predominantly cultivates strategic crops such as corn, wheat, clover, and various vegetables. The agricultural lands depend on canals for irrigation, drawing water from the Nile.

Sebastien Riez, Cluster President of Schneider Electric Northeast Africa & Levant, remarked: “It is truly gratifying to return to Menoufia governorate for the inauguration of yet another remarkable community development project, following the successful launch of Shubra Qubala and Mit El Qasri just a few months ago. The project in Tita village aims to generate value for the local community, promote energy efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and advance decarbonization efforts. It is anticipated to benefit approximately 20,000 individuals, increase the income of 1,200 farmers and 200 families, and facilitate irrigation across 120-200 feddans.

Jean-Pierre Trinelle, Chairman of Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development and Managing Director, Crédit Agricole Egypt explained: “We are thrilled to witness the successful launch of the second phase of our development project in Tita village, Menoufia just a few months after the launch of the first phase in Shubra Qubala and Mit El Qasri villages. Using clean technologies in Tita village helps create a positive impact on the environment and ensures a better, efficient use of water resources for agricultural land irrigation. We are proud of our collaboration with Schneider Electric benefitting additional local communities.” He added: “We look forward to continue providing funding to development projects, for building a more sustainable future and enhancing people’s lives.”

Through the provision of 65MWh of clean energy annually and the substitution of diesel pumps with a 30-kW photovoltaic-operated system, farmers shall be able to operate water pumps at minimal cost, significantly reducing carbon emissions by 32.5 tons, and saving up to 10,000 liters of diesel per year. Additionally, the project is expected to ensure sustainable and expedited access to water by 80%, pumping over 890,000 m3 of water annually.

To maximize the efficacy of the solar-powered irrigation pump, the 1.5 km canal underwent lining to minimize water, and evaporation loss during transportation from the pump to the agricultural lands. Water access was enhanced by 80%, reducing the delivery time from pump to land from 30 to 5 minutes. As a result, 10 instead of 3 feddans gain access to water per irrigation cycle.

This ongoing partnership between Crédit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development and Schneider Electric has already seen the successful inauguration of similar initiatives in the villages of Shubra Qubala and Mit El Qasri within Menoufia Governorate. Under this joint agreement, a range of sustainable infrastructure has been implemented, including greenhouses, fishponds, chicken incubators, irrigation pumps, and a compost unit, all powered by solar energy.

These initiatives align closely with the commitments of both entities towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They also resonate with Egypt’s Vision 2030, aimed at fostering environmental sustainability and enhancing the quality of life and living standards for Egyptian citizens.
