هواوي تطلق النسخة الإقليمية الاولي من برنامجها الرائد “بذور من أجل المستقبل”
استمراراً لالتزامها بدعم وتمكين الشباب المصري

إيماناً منها بأهمية الاستثمار في الشباب المصري، استضافت هواوي، الشركة العالمية الرائدة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات مؤخراً النسخة الإقليمية الأولى من برنامجها الرائد “بذور من أجل المستقبل” في مدينة الصويرة بالمغرب. يأتي برنامج “بذور من اجل المستقبل” تأكيداً على استراتيجية هواوي التي تضع تطوير المواهب الشابة على رأس اولوياتها، حيث يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى توفير فرص التدريب والتطوير للشباب المهتمين بتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، وقد نجح في ضم أكثر من 150 شاباً واعداً من 15 دولة أفريقية.
وخلال المرحلة الإقليمية، برز فريق من الطلاب المصريين من خلال تقديم حلول مبتكرة لمواجهة تحديات القطاع الزراعي، حيث قاموا بتطوير لوحة معلومات تفاعلية Interactive Dashboard تعتمد على بيانات الأقمار الصناعية والرصد الجوي تزود المزارعين بمعلومات وبيانات قيّمة لتحسين وتطوير الأنشطة الزراعية وزيادة انتاجيتها. كما يساعد هذا الحل المزارعين على تحسين ممارسات الري واستخدام الأسمدة بكفاءة، إضافة إلى إدارة المخاطر التي تؤدي إلى تلف المحاصيل، وذلك عن طريق نظام التحكم الرقمي الذي يتيح إمكانية الوصول السهل لهذه البيانات، مما يساهم في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي وضمان استدامة القطاع الزراعي في مصر.
وفي هذا الإطار، أكد السيد/ جيريمي لين، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لهواوي لمنطقة شمال وغرب ووسط إفريقيا، على أهمية الاستثمار في الشباب باعتبارهم ركيزة أساسية للمستقبل. وأضاف:” في هواوي نؤمن بضرورة دعم وتمكين الشباب وتوفير الفرص المناسبة لهم وذلك لانهم مفتاح تحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المستدامة على المدى الطويل. وأضاف: “يؤكد برنامج هواوي “بذور من اجل المستقبل” الذي يضم نخبة من الطلاب المتميزين من مختلف أنحاء القارة الأفريقية، التزامنا العميق بوضع دعم وتمكين المواهب الشابة على رأس اولوياتنا إيمانًا بدورهم الحيوي في دفع عجلة التقدم التكنولوجي كونهم قادة المستقبل”.
وقال مروان الطوخي، طالب ماجستير في كلية هندسة الكمبيوتر بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة وعضو الفريق المصري: “اعتمد مشروعنا على خبراتنا المتعمقة في مجال الزراعة ومجموعة البيانات الضخمة لصور الأقمار الصناعية، الأمر الذي ساهم في تفوق مشروعنا بشكل ملحوظ. تحوّل منصتنا المبتكرة صور الأقمار الصناعية إلى رؤى عملية تُمكّن المزارعين من زيادة إنتاجيتهم بشكلٍ ملحوظ، فمن خلال دمج التحليلات المتقدمة مع الخبرة الزراعية العميقة، استطعنا توفير حلولًا ذكية تُعزّز قدرتهم التنافسية وتُحدث تأثيرًا ملموسًا على أرض الواقع”.
وأضاف عمر البغدادي، طالب ماجستير بكلية علوم الحاسوب في جامعة تورنتو وعضو الفريق المصري: “لقد كانت النسخة الإقليمية الأولى من برنامج “بذور المستقبل” لشمال إفريقيا تجربة لا مثيل لها، حيث أتيحت لنا الفرصة لتبادل المعرفة وتطوير المهارات مما عزز من نموّنا الشخصي والمهني. وبإشراف نخبة من الخبراء والموجهين الملهمين، شاركنا في ورش عمل تفاعلية استكشفنا من خلالها مجالات مختلفة مثل الذكاء الاصطناعي، والحوسبة السحابية مما زوّدنا بالمعرفة والرؤى الضرورية لمواجهة التحديات في أفريقيا.”
وقد ترك الفريق المصري انطباعًا قويًا في المسابقة، حيث أظهر روح الابتكار في معالجة التحديات المحلية من خلال استخدام الحلول التكنولوجية، وعلى الرغم من عدم فوزهم بالجائزة الكبري، إلا أن عرضهم استطاع لفت الأنظار بشكل كبير، وقد فازت فرقتان من إثيوبيا والمغرب، وسوف يمثلان أفريقيا في نهائيات Tech4Good العالمية في الصين العام المقبل.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن برنامج “بذور المستقبل” الذي أطلقته هواوي عام 2008 يشجع الدول من جميع أنحاء العالم على المشاركة في تطوير مجتمعاتها الرقمية الخاصة بها. ويتضمن البرنامج أنشطة تدريبية مكثفة لتعريف المشاركين بأحدث تقنيات هواوي وحلولها لخدمة القطاعات الحيوية، بما في ذلك حلول السحابة والذكاء الاصطناعي. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يركز البرنامج على تزويد المتدربين بمهارات ريادة الأعمال والابتكار لتأهيلهم للمنافسة في أسواق العمل المحلية والعالمية.

Huawei Empowers Egyptian Students through the 1st Regional Edition of its Groundbreaking “Seeds for the Future” Program
Huawei, a global ICT leader, recently hosted its first regional “Seeds for the Future” program in Essaouira, Morocco. The program, which provides training and development opportunities for young ICT enthusiasts, is part of Huawei’s strategy for developing talent. This initiative aimed to cultivate local expertise by bringing together over 150 promising young minds from 15 African countries gathered for a week of intensive training, blending innovation with cultural exchange
During the regional phase, a team of Egyptian students presented a dashboard that leverages satellite and meteorological data to provide farmers with actionable, data-driven insights. This solution helps Egyptian farmers optimize their irrigation and fertilizer application, manage disease risks, and improve crop yields. The fully digital platform, developed using Python, allows these farmers to access these valuable insights through a web-based dashboard.
Huawei’s Northern Africa Executive Vice President, Jeremy Lin, emphasizes the importance of investing in the youth for the continent’s future. “Investing in the youth of today and tomorrow is essential for the economic and social future of every nation,” Lin said. “By bringing together top students from across the African continent, we are placing people, dialogue, and diversity at the heart of our priorities and at the center of our technological development strategy.”
Marwan El Toukhy, a Computer Engineering student from the American University in Cairo and a member of the Egyptian team, explained: “Our project’s key advantage lies in our domain knowledge and the extensive dataset of satellite imagery we’ve obtained with ground truth data, which has given our models a significant edge over the competition. Our platform transforms this satellite imagery into actionable insights, empowering farmers to boost their yields, and by combining advanced analytics with deep agricultural expertise, we’ve created a solution that delivers a competitive edge and drives real-world impact.”
Omar El Boghdady, a Computer Science student from the University of Toronto and a member of the Egyptian team, added, “The inaugural regional edition of the Northern Africa Seeds for the Future program offered a truly unique experience; one where we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in the cultural and innovative diversity that can empower our personal and professional development. Guided by esteemed experts and mentors, we participated in extraordinary workshops exploring the realms of AI, 5G, cloud computing, and leadership, equipping us with the knowledge and perspectives to tackle Africa’s most intriguing challenges head-on.”
The Egyptian team made a strong presence at the competition, showcasing the country’s innovative spirit and potential to address local challenges through technology. While they did not claim the top prize, their presentation garnered significant attention. Ultimately, teams from Ethiopia and Morocco emerged victorious and will advance to represent Africa at the global Tech4Good finals in China next year.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” program, launched in 2008, encourages nations across the globe to participate in the development of their own digital communities. The program involves intensive training activities to introduce participants to Huawei’s latest technologies and solutions for serving vital sectors, including cloud solutions and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additionally, the program focuses on equipping trainees with entrepreneurship and innovation skills to qualify them for competing in the local and international labor markets.
